"We all have those moments in life which at the time seem like everyday interactions but which nudges us in a new direction and it’s only in hindsight we can see that they changed our course of life forever."
- Petra Hultman, volunteer in Armeni
About Globala Kronoberg
Globala Kronoberg is an international center for young people and organisations in Kronoberg, Sweden. We work mostly with European initiatives such as the ERASMUS+ program and the European Solidarity Corps, in which we offer mobility possibilities for young people, youth workers, and organizations. Our mission is not only to provide opportunities for young people to develop competences and skills through informal and non-formal learning, but also to inform, support and encourage them to take part in international programs, youth exchanges, and trainings across Europe.
"Are You Out Yet?!" training course
Those are fantastic opportunities for the participants to get to know other cultures, meet other young people from different parts of the world, learn how to work in a team, and create activities together.

Globala Kronoberg is part of the network called Nätverket SIP. We are located in Växjö, Småland.
SIP stands for Social change in Practice and, as the name shows, our work focuses on building a more equal and democratic society through new ideas that have an impact on the community. We work with areas such as youth, mobility, integration, accessibility, employment issues and norm criticism. We work in an open-space office where employees, volunteers and interns with different backgrounds, skills, motivations and life situations work together on different projects. We see SIP as an open-minded and creative workspace where everyone has access to opportunities for personal development while at the same time contributing to a better society and finding solutions for social challenges.
Besides the international projects, we organize local activities like cultural evenings, workshops and events. Some examples of these activities are the international fair, the young ambassadors’ training and lectures about ESC. We have partners in different countries in Europe and we are frequently looking for new partnerships, especially in projects within Erasmus+. Youngsters from all over Europe can also find interesting ESC projects in various fields; like culture, art, youth and international issues, here in Kronoberg. Here you can check which vacancies are available.
During one summer week, we gather 25 youngsters from all over Europe who organize, participate and arrange activities in the city and in the nature in Kronoberg. This project is called 'Go out, be in'. As the name suggests, the project's main topic are “outdoor activities” and becoming more involved with the public spaces of our community. This international youth exchange was organized for the first time in summer 2012.
